Proud Sista'

Hey all, my sister in law, Tasha, started her new clothing line called Oh Boy Threads! and you need to check it out. It's urban baby meets rock and roll; very cool. Of course, my little munchkin is the one pictured here. But stop by her site, you won't be disappointed!

Apron Strings

I made this apron for a giveaway at my MOPS meeting last night. It was very easy to sew; basically a rectangle with curved edges, fully lined with two pockets, it has 5 pleats and is held together with satin blanket binding. Super easy, super cute, and super is a cheesy word when used to much.

PooPooPeeDoo

There's a piece of poo on my window sill! My son and I are having so much fun making stuffed toys from the "Softies" book, so here's the lonely dollop that I mentioned in my previous post. I hope you get the chance to make one of these, it took me a total of 45 minutes from start to finish. Very rewarding!

Tree-mendous

I made this tree today with my 4 1/2 year old...okay, I did all of it. He got bored with the first 2 minutes, but he really wanted it, so I finished it. I had so much fun with the easy instructions that I'll probably make something else from the book that I found this in. I highly recommend it. It's called "Softies" by Therese Laskey. There's even a pattern in it for making a stuffed "lonely dollop" which is a stuffed piece of poo. Ingenious.

Hee Hee, you said Booty

My sister in law came over yesterday with a cool new baby bootie pattern so we tried it out. And the above picture is the result. Very cool I think! I made these for her little girl, Shiloh that's due to arrive July 26th.

MOPS

My son had a "wedding" at his preschool last week where the letters "Q" and "U" got married, so I made little bowties for him and his buddy. They were absolutely adorable. My kid is the one on the left that looks like the kid from Problem Child. Yes, you can laugh now because you know it's true. "...girl you know it's true...ooo ooo ooo, I love you..." Great scott, now I've got that impersonistic song in my head. Is that a word, "impersonistic"? Ah, it doesn't matter, I'm rambling now.

I saw these on the Martha Stewart website and since there were no directions that I could find on making them I had to figure it out - no worries, it was super easy so I had all my moms make them at our last MOPS meeting. They were a hit. They were easy to make (maybe I'll post a tutorial one day) and adorable to carry around. This one has an "E" on it because I made it for my friend Erin; can you guess what her favorite color is?

Tee-Ball

Okay, so this has nothing to do with sewing, but my son's first tee-ball game was today. It was awesome. We had a blast and the kids all did really good! All the parents are great and I know it's going to be a great season.
